GOOGLE LYRIA LIVE

Google I/O 2025 saw the announcement of a number of new AI tools in the Google lineup.  Haptic Workshop had the opportunity to work with the Google DeepMind Lyria team to build out an activation highlighting their new AI-driven, prompt-based music generator.  In partnership with Pixel and Texel, .monks and Jumbo Jumbo, Haptic designed and fabricated a larger than life mixing board, allowing users to depress and rotate stools as mixer knobs cycling through various musical styles and instruments. Prompts would drive real-time AI generated music, and allow the users to adjust the weight of each prompt by rotating the knobs. As the knobs rotated, a glowing LED floor with embedded digital display provided live feed back of the selected prompts and weights.  The overall design and graphics represented the Google brand styling with a high level of fit and finish, and created a perfect interactive activation to appropriately showcase Google's emerging AI tool, Lyria Live.
