GREENLAND CHENGDU

Greenland City, a large mixed-use development in Chengdu China, provided an opportunity to develop a strategic process toward an easier and efficient workflow. Using parametric tools and collaborating with CASE (a BIM integration consultant), we sought to define and address existing inefficiencies in our standard workflow to meet the extreme demands of the project schedule, scale and budget. Our strategy focused on four core areas; environmental simulation, project metrics, interoperability, and optimization.

Overall, our streamlined process netted a substantial increase in design/production efficiency, while ensuring the delivery of a high performance product that meets the design intent and client expectations.

This project was selected for the 2014 CallisonRTKL Works-In-Progress Publication; an honor received by only handful of projects firm-wide per year.
